Yes, our product can be installed in areas where there is heavy runoff flow when it rains so long as an effective watershed management plan is in place. Refer to the Technical page for more detailed information. Can I use a sealer on your jointing product? Yes. However, many sealers will affect the performance of the permeability of the grout as well as making the stone surface slippery. It is recommended that the proper sealer be applied. Penetrating, breathable sealers work best. Why are there loose particles of sand on the stones after installation? Many natural stone and brick products have irregular surfaces that may trap particles of sand after the installation. Also, some particles that were squeegeed or swept off during the installation process will begin to come off the surface and/or joints as well. This is normal and will eventually go away with time and normal wear. Medium pressure washing will help to expedite this process and should not be performed until the product is fully cured. CLEANING Can I pressure wash the grout? Yes, with a fan tip spray at no more than 4,000 p.s.i. Can I use muriatic acid on your products? Yes. It will not affect the grout, but it should be diluted so it does not affect the stone. If muriatic acid is used to wash the stones prior to the grout application, it is strongly advised to wash the stones with plenty of water to remove all of the acid. Acid washing tends to leave a salt residue which will eventually leave a white finish on the stones once the grout cures. For extremely porous stones that have been acid washed, it is recommended to apply a sealer to the stones prior to grouting. Refer to the Technical page for more information. How does the epoxy clean up during application? With soap and water. For fully cured products call our Technical Support team for appropriate measures. How do I clean the stones and grout over time?
